Astria Health is seeking a Risk Manager to join our team!

As the Risk Manager, you will be responsible for responsible for deploying a proactive approach to a focused healthcare risk management program that promotes patient safety and prevents legal exposure. You will:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision to identify risk and recognize the threats within the hospitals and clinics.
  • Quantify and prioritize risk based on likelihood and impact of occurrent, allocating resources and task assignments.
  • Coordination of all medical staff activities and acts as liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff for investigating and reporting events
  • As needed, works with counsel to manage responses to discovery requests. Provides overall management of liability files.
  • Compliance reporting as required.
  • Acts as resource for department, leadership, providers and staff in addressing risk management education and training,
  • Develop and report out on purpose, goals, and metrics
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to a clinical specialty /service line.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality, regulatory readiness, performance improvement or patient safety role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data use, analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computerized information systems (email, MS Office including Excel, Epic, healthcare data and benchmarking systems, etc.)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. This position is not associated with a union contract.
